CHICAGO — In this video from the AAO meeting, Joan W. Miller, MD, chair of ophthalmology at Mass Eye and Ear, discusses the role of AREDS vitamins in slowing the progression of geographic atrophy.
“That is something we hadn’t really thought was a benefit, but it may be that that also has a role,” she said.
In addition, she discussed data on a C1q inhibitor that failed to meet its primary endpoint but did show a visual acuity signal, which Miller called “intriguing.”
