VIDEO: Nontraditional techniques may offer advantages in managing eyelid malposition

NEW YORK — In this presentation from OSN New York, Pete Setabutr, MD, of University of Illinois, Chicago, highlights nontraditional techniques to manage eyelid malposition.

Setabutr focused on tarsal ectropion, lower eyelid retraction and lower eyelid margin repair.

“Conceptually, these techniques are the same as everything you have learned before and everything you learned as a resident,” he said. “They are doing the same things as you did in the traditional techniques. The advantages are efficiency, cosmesis and, in some cases, just better outcomes.”
