VIDEO: Femtosecond laser for glaucoma shows good results out to 36 months

CHICAGO — In this Healio Video Perspective from Eyecelerator@AAO, Shawn O’Neil of ViaLase discusses the company’s femtosecond laser for incision-free primary open-angle glaucoma treatment.

The laser, which is used for femtosecond laser image-guided high-precision trabeculotomy, showed positive safety and stability in lowering IOP out to 36 months, according to O’Neil.

“We are excited that we received CE mark earlier this year in 2024, and we are excited about starting our commercialization plans for select markets in Europe,” he said.
