NEW YORK — In this Healio Video Perspective from OSN New York, Nathan M. Radcliffe, MD, discusses interventional glaucoma management.
Radcliffe said that as glaucoma management moves toward interventional treatment, there will be more patients who present with different needs. However, glaucoma specialists will have a lot of tools to address those needs.
“We have a lot of different ways to get patients’ glaucoma under control,” he said. “Of course, the reason we’re leading in this direction of procedures rather than eye drops is we know patients have trouble tolerating drops and they have trouble remembering to take them. We’re starting to see that procedures can lead to better outcomes than just the eye drops alone.”
